That passion overthe next 10 years to be young again andwhen you’re 35 you can pick a thirdpassion and cultivate that for the next10 years and you over the course ofseveral decades you’ll have manypassions that you’ve pursued and I wouldactually encourage you to get obsessedwith some of these things I think Ithink that’s what passion is it’s onehalf obsession it’s one half love andyou need to be able to balance that outand you can’t balance that out whenyou’re spread too thin here’s the keypick one thing it sounds to me like it’sviolent you know and really focus onbeing passionate about that you have toDrudge through the drudgeryyou’re not going to it’s not all goingto be ponies and rainbows all the timebut that’s when the real payoff comesbecause what I used to do throughout mytwenties is I would think I waspassionate about one thing I’m reallypassionate about the short story idea inthat write write write write write writewrite writeand then I’ll wait this has gotten hardthe writing is hard why do I want to dosomething.
