And i’m going to go worst to firstokay. And and jim would just take it upon himself to try to make it even better well blanton was a teacher he could look at a guy and know if his footwork was wrong as a pass receiver he helped me tremendously and most of all all my years of playing football he didn’t holler at me blant would go around and talk to each player sort of individually about the game that just been played and what was coming up next and you could see him talking to a defensive lineman and getting this guy really charged up and then over here talking to an offensive lineman and getting that guy charged up so he had this ability to start to talk both sides of the balland I had players believing in him tremendously the receiver that I had the most difficult within the national football league was sonny randall always caught passes on me. And I know uh they are quite pleased that the secondary three the back seven here has a has a chance to be just absolutely a problem for every team that it plays and then when you couple with that the fact that you have those two defensive ends um that’s why there is such a comfort around here regardless of the Watson situation because of how good this defense is and how it’s built it’s built for sustainability a lot of these guys are really young they’re under contract for a long time cloudy obviously just for one year but almost everybody else is either locked up long term or still on rookie deals so this this defense is going to grow together at a very high level for for many many years to come and you’re seeing it on display here in Camp one other thing I want to backtrack on a little bit uh we had the half on all last week we talked about his work that he was doing on the offensive line uh he went out for a second uh session it was a Friday after our show we went back out there again we’ve got some more againyeah and got to be around them. I remember we were talking some jets on the line I mean elijah and he was he’s hyped up about the jets I love that so chris chimes in he goes zach wilson 4 000 yards 25 touchdowns nine interceptions um I think that’s I think that’s pretty reasonable I think there’s a world where that happens if that happens he is all over the place in the nfl he is a fan favorite because this is the type of stat line that i’ve been waiting for chess quarterback to put up not named ryan fitzpatrick for a long timeyeah
